Do you want to be part of developing and working in a school social team focused on students succeeding in compulsory school? Kinda Municipality is now investing in a school social team based on collaboration between the school and social services, both structurally and operationally. The Family Team, Advice and Support, is now looking for a full-time social worker to join the school social team.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • A degree in social work or equivalent education
  • Previous experience working with family therapy
  • Knowledge of legislation regarding social work
  • A valid driver's license (Category B)

It is an advantage if you have:

  • Experience with digital working methods and knowledge of the Lifecare record system
  • Knowledge of school legislation
  • Previous work experience in collaboration with schools
  • Familiarity with social services' work with children, young people, and families
  • Knowledge of school operations, teaching, adaptations, and experience working with school absenteeism

Responsibilities:

The position is a permanent full-time role as a family therapist at Advice and Support, with a focus on the school social team.

The school social team consists of several people from the school and two employees from the Family Team, Advice and Support. Your task is to work towards ensuring that children and young people receive the right support at the right time, with the aim of strengthening school attendance, goal achievement, and mental well-being. Through early and active work, in close collaboration with the school, you will carry out needs-adapted interventions for children, young people, and their guardians with the aim of breaking negative development patterns. In the role of family therapist, you will have a special focus on social and psychosocial factors affecting students' school attendance.

The team works, for example, with:

  • Coordinating the support the student receives
  • Offering psychosocial support in various forms, such as motivational interviewing, social training, and support in creating structure in life
  • Supporting and guiding guardians
  • Working operationally at school units
